Based on POJK Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 51 /POJK.03/2017 Concerning the Implementation of Sustainable Finance for Financial Services Institutions, Issuers and Public Companies, Financial Services Institutions are required to carry out Environmental Social Responsibility by allocating a portion of funds to support the implementation of Sustainable Finance activities. This Social & Environmental Responsibility activity is a concrete action by Kreditplus in maintaining harmony between the economy, social and environment as well as fulfilling compliance with applicable regulations and supporting the Sustainable Finance Roadmap launched by the Financial Services Authority (“OJK”) as the supervisor in the financial services sector.
In 2022, coinciding with the commemoration of National Tree Planting Day on November 28 2022, Kreditplus is working with the Indonesian Marine Conservation Foundation (YKL) to make a real contribution to environmental conservation efforts by planting mangroves in Lantebung, Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The mangrove ecosystem is one of the ecosystems that has experienced impacts due to human activities that are not environmentally friendly. One of the efforts to preserve the mangrove ecosystem is to carry out rehabilitation.
Planting 2,000 mangrove trees in the marine and coastal environment is expected to be a real act of concern for environmental preservation, so that it will have the following impacts:
1. Indonesia's coastal and marine environment become better in the future
2. Together, various parties also active in protecting the environment, especially
in coastal and marine areas and supporting efforts to prevent the climate crisis
3. Increasing Green Open Space (RTH) in Makassar City
Through this activity, PT KB Finansia Multi Finance (Kreditplus) can be better known as a financing service company that is present in the community by helping meet the needs for electronic goods, household, gadgets, computers, used cars and provision of cash funds, as well as a company that cares about environmental preservation, especially in coastal areas and sea.
