Anti Baper Club: Cara Hadapi Kritik Tanpa Sakit Hati

Giving and receiving feedback can feel like walking on a tightrope.

If it’s too harsh, it hurts the ego; if it’s too soft, the message gets lost. But in the professional world, feedback is the "fuel" for your career growth! Let’s turn criticism into a collaboration tool with these simple tips. Ready? Let’s go!

1. The Art of Giving Feedback: "Build, Don’t Break"

The goal isn’t to point out mistakes; it’s to help your teammates reach their full potential!

Instead of saying, "You’re so careless," (which attacks who they are), try focusing on the facts: "I noticed some data in the report doesn't match. Let’s check it together!" Keep it objective!

Focus on the solution for next time! Example: "Next time, maybe we can use this template to make it faster and more accurate."

Never give sharp feedback in front of others. Private chats show respect, making people more open to your suggestions. High five for empathy!

2. The Art of Receiving Feedback: "Listen to Learn"

It’s not always easy for our egos, but your response determines how fast you grow!

Your brain might want to go into "defense mode." Take a 3-5 second pause. Remember: a critique of your work is not a critique of your value as a human.

Don't interrupt to defend yourself! Listen until the end, then ask questions: Example: "Thanks for the feedback! Could you help me understand which part I should prioritize for improvement?"

Sometimes people deliver feedback in a grumpy way. Stay objective: ignore the "grump" and grab the "gold" (the advice). Use it as data for your growth!

3. Creating a Healthy Feedback Culture

Situation The Old Way (Ouch!) The New Way (Professional & Chill)
Bad Presentation "Your presentation was boring." "Great content! Maybe add more visuals next time to keep the audience engaged."
Missed Deadline "You’re so undisciplined." "I noticed this task is past due. Is there any obstacle I can help with?"
Receiving Feedback "It’s not my fault, it’s because..." "Thanks for the perspective! I’ll adjust that in the next draft."

Healthy criticism is a form of caring. When we give to help and receive to learn, our ego turns into curiosity. The result? A workplace that is transparent, supportive, and full of pros!
