The 'AAA(idn)' National Rating signifies the highest rating provided by Fitch within the National Rating scale for that country. This rating is assigned to issuers or bonds with the lowest expected default risk compared to all other issuers or bonds in the same country or monetary union.
The rating reflects the credit profile of its parent company, KB Kookmin Card Co., Ltd. (KBC), as well as the extraordinary support from KBC and the ultimate parent, KB Financial Group Inc. (KBFG), towards KBFMF. KBFMF has made a positive contribution to KBFG since its acquisition by KBC in 2020. KBFMF also supports the group's strategy to expand into Indonesia and continue enhancing synergies among other group subsidiaries in Indonesia.
With the stable Long-Term National Rating and KBFMF's bonds, KBFMF aims to sustain its growth, secure lower borrowing costs, and provide financing to consumers with increasingly competitive interest rates.
